Hi, I’m Priscilla

I started Missy Wine in Hong Kong in 2020 as a place to share the bottles, tastings and people I was discovering.

When I moved to Sydney in 2023, I found plenty happening in wine. The problem was finding it. Events were scattered across venue websites, ticketing pages, newsletters and Instagram. Unless you already followed the right people, some of the most interesting ones were easy to miss.

I kept thinking there should be one simple place to see what is happening. That idea became The Winemates.

I have spent the past 10 years working across marketing, brand building, campaigns, partnerships and events. That experience shapes how I am building The Winemates: making event information clearer, helping people understand what an experience will actually be like, and making Sydney’s wine scene easier to explore.

A genuine love of wine

I enjoy discovering new bottles, meeting the people behind them and learning through tastings. I want The Winemates to tell you more than the date and price. I want you to understand what the event will be like, who it might suit and whether you would feel comfortable attending on your own.

My background helps me turn scattered event information into something clear, useful and easy to act on. I also understand how much work goes into building a brand, creating an event and getting it in front of the right people.

A multicultural perspective

I grew up in Hong Kong and now call Sydney home. I speak English, Cantonese and Mandarin, and I would love The Winemates to help more people from different backgrounds feel welcome in Sydney’s wine community.
